Hello, my name is Noreen Mills Martin and I want to represent you on the Dutchess County Legislature District 8 - City and Town of Poughkeepsie.

I want to create and promote youth programs in the county.

I want to promote mental health programs in the county.

I want to find ways to ensure that public places have access to and training with narcan to better deal with the opioid crisis.

I want to promote the county, so that it is a place we all take pride in and feel safe in.

I want to speak as your voice in the county. If you don't know who your current legislator is for District 8, then you need to vote for me so that you have a legislator who cares enough to be there for you.

Youth Programs

I want to create, support and promote youth programs in the c0unty.

I would like to work with community groups who wish to develop youth programing in the County.

I would like to re-institute the Legislative Intern Program for High School Seniors with an interest in Government.

Senior Programs

Dutchess County offers a new 5 day a week Senior Center in the City of Poughkeepsie that offers unique and engaging programs like chair yoga, tai chi, and computer literacy.

I want residents to be aware of and be able to participate in all the activities and programs available in Dutchess County Parks and other locations of interest.

Opioid Crisis

Dutchess County has created the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program and has expanded it with a new medication dispensary center. To help members of the community be better prepared to save lives, Narcan training is now available on a walk-in basis, 24/7, with no appointment necessary, at the Dutchess County Stabilization Center at 230 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
